About Us

Irish Angler was founded in 2004 and quickly became Ireland’s top selling fishing magazine.

We cover all types of fishing on the island of Ireland – trout, salmon, sea, pike and coarse. We also feature occasional articles by Irish anglers fishing abroad. Our team of contributors includes some of the top anglers and fly tyers in the country, many of whom are current or former members of international teams. The magazine is produced entirely in Ireland, from our office in Castlebar, Co Mayo.

The Designer

Patrick Browne joined the team in 2009. Although he’s not an angler, Patrick now knows the difference between a trout and a pike!
